The Seychelles Maritime Safety Administration, (SMSA)  is the regulatory and supervisory authority within  the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Transport.

Our primary objective is to provide and ensure that all mariners without exception use and enjoy our seas and other water bodies, in a safe and lawful manner.

SPA was established in October 2004 by the SPA Act. This followed a Government decision to adopt a business oriented approach towards the running of the Ports for better management of all port related activities. It operates as an autonomous public authority under the governance of a Board of Directors.

The Seychelles Civil Aviation Authority (SCAA) was established under the Civil Aviation Authority Act, 2005,as an administrative and financial body corporate to provide for the services, facilities and regulation of civil aviation activities in Seychelles with the power to do anything for the purpose of discharging or facilitating the discharge of its functions. The SCAA and its affairs are administered by a CEO reporting to a Board of Directors appointed by the Minister responsible for Civil Aviation.

Air Seychelles

A boutique island carrier with big dreams for the future. Air Seychelles, the national airline of the Republic of Seychelles, was established in 1978 and began long-haul service in 1983. As the main driver of tourism in Seychelles, it is a core pillar of the national economy.

The airline offers international flights to Abu Dhabi, Antananarivo, Johannesburg, Mauritius, Mumbai, Durban, Düsseldorf and Paris. Air Seychelles also operates daily domestic flights and charter services throughout the archipelago.

The Seychelles Tourism Board (STB), is a public/private sector body headed by CEO Mrs. Sherin Francis, with Mrs. Kathleen Mason as the Chairperson.

The Seychelles Tourism Board’s primary function is to promote and market Seychelles as the most desirable tourist destination.

The Seychelles Hospitality & Tourism Association (SHTA) was formed in 2002 following a merger between the Seychelles Hotel Association (SHA) and the Small Hotels and Guesthouses Association (SHGA). As a result of the merger, the SHTA is now a comprehensive association comprising around 150+ members encompassing properties from large five star resort hotels to the smallest guesthouses and self-catering establishments.

The SSTL is a sustainable tourism management and certification programme designed specifically for use in Seychelles. It is voluntary, user-friendly, and designed to inspire more efficient and sustainable ways of doing business. The SSTL is presently applicable to hotels of all sizes.
