{"id":8863,"date":"2025-10-10T11:01:13","date_gmt":"2025-10-10T07:01:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tourism.gov.sc\/?p=8863"},"modified":"2025-10-10T11:01:13","modified_gmt":"2025-10-10T07:01:13","slug":"tourism-seychelles-strengthens-presence-at-italys-leading-tourism-fair","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tourism.gov.sc\/?p=8863","title":{"rendered":"Tourism Seychelles Strengthens Presence at Italy\u2019s Leading Tourism Fair"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Tourism Seychelles has reaffirmed its strong presence in the Italian market with a successful participation at the\u202f62nd edition of TTG Travel Experience, Italy\u2019s most important tourism and travel trade fair, held in Rimini from\u202f8\u201310 October 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The fair, which gathered\u202f75 international destinations,\u202f2,700 exhibitors and\u202fover 1,000 qualified buyers\u202funder the theme\u202f\u201cAwake to a New Era,\u201d\u202fprovided Tourism Seychelles with a strategic platform to highlight the destination\u2019s evolving approach to\u202fsustainable and experiential travel, a theme increasingly resonating with Italian visitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Seychelles delegation was led by\u202fMrs. Bernadette Willemin,\u202fDirector General for Destination Marketing, accompanied by\u202fMrs. Danielle Di Gianvito\u202f(Italy Marketing Representative),\u202fMrs. Eleonora David\u202f(Digital Marketing Manager, Italy), and\u202fMrs. Yasmine Pocetti\u202f(Marketing Executive).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They were joined by partners from the Seychelles tourism trade, including\u202fMrs. Amy Michel Porter\u202f(Product &amp; Sales Manager, Mason\u2019s Travel);\u202fMs. Shamita Palit\u202f(Sales Consultant, Le Duc de Praslin);\u202fMs. Chloe Morin\u202f(Sales &amp; Marketing Executive) and\u202fMr. Lorenzo Sironi\u202f(Representative, 7\u00b0 South);\u202fMr. Eric Zanconato\u202f(Representative, Connect Seychelles);\u202fMrs. Normandy Mendoza Salabao\u202f(Head of Sales &amp; Marketing) and\u202fMr. Donato Gastaldello(Representative, Creole Travel Services);\u202fMr. Ferruccio Tirone\u202f(Sales Manager Europe, Paradise Sun Hotel \/ Anantara Maia \/ Avani+ Seychelles); and\u202fMrs. Beatriz Alarcon\u202f(Sales Manager  Raffles Seychelles).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the fair,\u202fTourism Seychelles also spotlighted several of its flagship national programmes:\u202fSustainable Seychelles, which promotes responsible tourism practices;\u202fCreole Rendez-Vous, a brand celebrating Seychelles\u2019 rich Creole culture and heritage; the\u202fClassification and Grading Programme, designed to elevate accommodation standards; and the\u202fLospitalite Lafyerte Sesel Service Excellence Programme, which reinforces service quality and Seychellois pride across the hospitality industry. Together, these initiatives demonstrate Seychelles\u2019 holistic approach to tourism development, blending sustainability, authenticity, and community empowerment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Throughout the three-day event, Seychelles attracted\u202fstrong media interest, featuring in several leading Italian trade publications. Coverage highlighted new property openings, renovations, and major events such as the\u202fSeychelles Nature Trail\u202fand\u202fSeychelles Sailing Challenge, positioning the destination as both\u202fdynamic and environmentally conscious.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With over\u202f17,000 visitor arrivals from Italy recorded by the end of September 2025, a\u202f21% increase compared to the same period in 2024, Italy remains Seychelles\u2019\u202ffourth-largest source market. The growth reflects a sustained appetite among Italian travellers for\u202fauthentic, nature-focused, and sustainable island experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Commenting on the strong performance,\u202fMrs. Bernadette Willemin, Director General for Destination Marketing, stated:<br \/>\n\u201cThese figures highlight the evergreen interest of Italian travellers in our islands. Seychelles continues to evolve in response to a new generation of visitors seeking sustainable and authentic experiences. TTG Travel Experience provided an excellent opportunity to strengthen our partnerships and reinforce Seychelles\u2019 presence in one of our most dynamic European markets.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mrs. Amy Michel Porter, Product &amp; Sales Manager at\u202fMason\u2019s Travel, noted:<br \/>\n\u201cTTG remains one of the most productive trade fairs for the Italian market.
