Tourism Seychelles participated in the 34th edition of the Salon Tourissima Consumer Fair, which took place in Lille, the largest city at the northern tip of France, from January 27th to 29th, 2023.
The three-day fair focuses on adventurous holidays, activities at sea, and outdoor recreation such as camping and hiking for family, friends and even couples, which is the ideal target audience for potential business.
Ms Myra Fanchette – Senior Marketing Executive from the International Marketing Section, represented Tourism Seychelles alongside Mrs Maryse Williams, who represented Silver Pearl Tours & Travel.
Speaking after the event, Ms Fanchette said that visitors had many queries about the destination, where they mainly enquired about the different activities, other than its beautiful beaches, that can be done in Seychelles for different age groups.
France secured its spot as one of the top three source markets to Seychelles last year with 44, 393 arrivals by the end of December 2022. In their continuous effort to maintain destination momentum, Seychelles’ participation at the Salon Tourissima served as the perfect opportunity to put Seychelles back in the minds of potential holidaymakers for the new year.
Tourissima is the biggest travel show in Northern France, attracting visitors from France and the neighbouring country Belgium, which is less than 30 minutes away by train.
