Assistant Officer – Local Marketing

JOB SUMMARY:
The Assistant Officer – Local Marketing provides operational, logistical and administrative support to assist with the implementation of local marketing and communication activities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide on-site operational support for local marketing events, exhibitions, and public activations.
- Coordinate event logistics including branding setup, guest registration, transport, catering, and audio-visual needs.
- Distribute promotional material and maintain a strong public interface at events to promote positive visitor experience.
- Oversee the inventory management of promotional assets, ensuring accuracy and availability at all times.
- Oversee the dispatch and allocation of marketing assets across relevant channels and locations.
- Support the tracking and restocking of marketing inventory, ensuring compliance with organisational guidelines.
Assist in the execution of multi-channel marketing activities to ensure effective outreach and audience engagement.
- Provide operational support for the development of multimedia assets to enhance local marketing and communication efforts.
- Contribute to the oversight of social media interactions and support the scheduling of approved content.
- Manage internal databases and files, keeping all stakeholder and event-related information current and accessible.
- Facilitate the development of internal reports by compiling campaign analytics and event evaluations.
- Provide general administrative support to the Local Marketing team to ensure operational efficiency and coordination with external partners.
- Assist the Senior Officer and Manager in other duties and special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Certificate in Marketing, Tourism & Travel, or a related field, plus three years related working experience.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Fluency in spoken and written English and French. Excellent interpersonal skills, both in person and on the phone, with high professionalism. Pleasant, dynamic, able to work under pressure.

Job Summary

Responsible for the smooth operation of the Unit. Responsible for developing the Unit’s capabilities and is expected to work closely with various sections and stakeholders in coordinating activities of the Unit.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Degree in Marketing or Public Relations or closely related field with five years related work experience

Job Summary

Responsible to research and identify areas in the Tourism Sector that require policy development and to raise awareness on important issues through policies and guidelines.

Will contribute through research, data collection etc… to the identification and formulation of policies, regulations needed to ensure the sustainable growth of the tourism industry.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Degree in Economics or Statistics or Accounting or any other Social Science subject plus two to three years working experience. Working in the tourism Sector would be an advantage.

Job Summary

Will assist with the Department ‘s public relations and communication efforts to build a positive image for the Department, the local tourism industry and raise awareness and visibility of the destination.

Qualification & Experience
  • A’ Level in English literature or French plus at least three years post qualifying work experience

  • Certificate in Journalism or in a relevant field plus two years post qualifying work experience

  • Diploma in Journalism, Mass Media communications or a related field plus one-year post qualifying work experience

  • Advanced Diploma in Journalism, Mass Media communications or a related field plus six months post qualifying work experience

  • Degree in Journalism, Mass Media Communications or a related field

Job Summary

Will be responsible for monitoring standards of operation for tourism maritime related activities, the conduct of regular visits and offering technical support and assistance when and where required.

Qualification & Experience
  • Diploma in tourism related field

  • Fluent in English and French

  • 2 years working experience in the tourism field

  • A Degree in the tourism field is a plus

Job Summary

Responsible for providing administrative support to the Director General of the Destination Marketing Division.

Qualification & Experience
  • Diploma in Office Management plus three work years relevant working experience
