The Tourism Seychelles team in the Middle East participated in the 11th Exotic Wedding Planning Conference (EWPC), the world’s largest wedding planning conference, in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates, from 1st to 3rd March 2023.
Seychelles’ participation aimed to increase the destination’s visibility as a travel and desired wedding destination in Dubai and all over the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Countries.
The three-day event focused on bringing together top-class wedding planners, hospitality vendors, tourism boards, travel experts, and other wedding suppliers from all around the world.
The first two days of the event were designed to create an open marketplace to cultivate collaborations, featuring a stellar lineup of speakers, engaging panel discussions and dazzling entertainment.
The highlight of the last day was the APEX Awards, which spotlighted remarkable talent, commendable initiatives, and the hard work done in the destination wedding industry.
Commenting on the fruitful three days, Mr Ahmed Fathallah, Tourism Seychelles’ representative for the Middle East, said, “it is a great opportunity to participate in EWPC, to further promote and increase the visibility of Seychelles as an ideal wedding destination.”
As one of the event’s objectives is to build and reconnect for potential business or collaborations, Mr Ahmed had the opportunity to engage with people from different sectors and interact with multiple attendees.
Mr Ahmed added, “We are proud to show the attendees that Seychelles is truly a paradise that embodies beauty and luxury on earth.”
