Tourism Seychelles, through its Middle East office, hosted a Familiarisation (FAM) Trip on the paradise island of Seychelles from June 24th to June 28th, 2024, in collaboration with Dnata Travel.
The group, led by Mr. Ahmed Fathallah, included top travel trade specialists from the Dnata Group. This initiative, part of the Memorandum of Understanding between Tourism Seychelles and Dnata Travel, aimed to further promote Seychelles and enhance the knowledge of UAE travel agents about the destination and its diverse offerings.
The event was generously supported by Hilton, with accommodation provided at Canopy by Hilton Seychelles Resort and Mango House Seychelles. Mason’s Travel, Dnata Travel’s official Destination Management Company partner, played a vital role in ensuring the trip’s smooth logistical execution.
The participants visited various properties, including Hilton Seychelles Labriz Resort & Spa on Silhouette Island, Hilton Seychelles Northolme Resort & Spa, DoubleTree by Hilton Seychelles – Allamanda Resort & Spa, Kempinski Seychelles, Anantara Maia Seychelles Villas, Four Seasons Seychelles, and Constance Ephelia Resort.
During their visit to Seychelles, the participants also had the opportunity to discover the destination’s beautiful scenery, including a tour of Victoria, the world’s smallest capital. This tour allowed them to explore the charming streets, vibrant markets, and historical landmarks of Victoria, providing a deeper understanding of the cultural and scenic richness that Seychelles has to offer. The experience showcased the blend of natural beauty and cultural heritage that makes Seychelles a unique and attractive destination for travellers.
Reflecting on the trip’s success, Ahmed Fathallah emphasised that Middle Eastern travellers highly value comfort and high standards. He noted that this FAM Trip equipped Dnata specialists with in-depth knowledge about the luxury resorts in Seychelles.
