Seychelles Tourism Delegation Celebrates Successful Participation at ITB Berlin 2025

Seychelles marked another successful presence at ITB Berlin 2025, the world’s leading travel trade show, reaffirming its position as a premier travel destination. Led by the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Tourism, Mr. Sylvestre Radegonde, and the Director General for Destination Marketing, Mrs. Bernadette Willemin, the delegation engaged in fruitful discussions with trade partners, all of whom expressed high satisfaction with the meetings and opportunities presented at the event.

With a strong delegation comprising 15 companies representing Destination Management Companies (DMCs) and hotels, Seychelles showcased its diverse tourism offerings to a global audience.

Throughout the three-day event, the delegation conducted numerous high-level meetings with key tour operators and major airline partners from Germany, neighbouring European countries, and other international markets. These discussions helped solidify existing partnerships and explore new opportunities for collaboration. Additionally, both the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Tourism and the Director General for Destination Marketing gave interviews to the media, further highlighting Seychelles’ appeal and strategic vision for tourism growth.

A key highlight of Seychelles’ presence at ITB Berlin 2025 was its newly designed stand, which captivated visitors with its authentic and sustainable concept. Built using natural materials, the stand echoed the essence of Seychelles’ islands, reflecting their unspoiled beauty, purity, and commitment to sustainability. The design provided an inviting space for business meetings and reinforced Seychelles’ dedication to eco-friendly tourism.

Speaking after the event, the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Tourism highlighted the positive reception Seychelles received from trade professionals. “Our presence at ITB Berlin 2025 has been immensely valuable, allowing us to engage with key partners and reinforce Seychelles as a top-tier destination. The enthusiasm from the industry reflects the continued appeal of our unique islands,” he stated.

The Director General for Destination Marketing echoed these sentiments, emphasising the importance of trade engagements in strengthening Seychelles’ tourism sector. “We have received highly positive feedback from trade professionals who remain committed to promoting Seychelles. The event has provided an excellent platform to discuss strategies for sustainable tourism growth and enhance visibility in key markets.”

Seychelles’ booth at ITB Berlin 2025 attracted significant interest, with industry professionals eager to learn more about the destination’s latest offerings, sustainable tourism initiatives, and enhanced visitor experiences. With the continued support of dedicated trade partners, Seychelles remains committed to delivering exceptional travel experiences to global travellers.

The participating companies in the event included the Seychelles Small Establishments Association (SSHEA), Seychelles Hospitality & Tourism Association (SHTA), Anantara Maia Seychelles, Berjaya Hotels & Resorts, Creole Travel Services, Hilton Seychelles Resort & Spa, Connect Seychelles, Mason’s Travel (PTY) LTD, Paradise Sun Hotel, Le Duc De Praslin Hotel and Villas, STORY Seychelles & Fisherman’s Cove Resort, 7° South, Eden Bleu Hotel, Luxury Travel, and Silhouette Cruises.

Representatives from these companies were also present, including Mr. Christian Zerbian, Ms. Winnie Elisa, and Ms. Junia Joubert from Tourism Seychelles.

From SHTA, Mrs. Sybille Cardon attended, while Ms. Daphne Bonne attended on behalf of B Holiday Apartments and represented SSHEA, and Ms. Jessica Giroux represented Anantara Maia Seychelles.

Berjaya Hotels & Resorts had Ms. Wendy Tan and Ms. Erica Tirant in attendance, while Creole Travel Services was represented by Mr. Guillaume Albert, Ms. Normandy Salabao, and Ms. Melissa Quatre. Hilton Seychelles Resort & Spa sent Mr. Thomas Matrat and Ms. Amanda Lang, while Connect Seychelles was represented by Mrs. Daniella Alis and Mr. Laurent Alis.

Mason’s Travel (PTY) LTD brought a strong team, including Mr. Alan Mason, Mr. Lenny Alvis, Ms. Amy Michel, and Ms. Hilda Camille, and from Paradise Sun Hotel, Mr. Ferruccio Tirone and Mrs. Samia Dugasse were present. Le Duc De Praslin Hotel and Villas had Mr. Robert Payet attending, while STORY Seychelles & Fisherman’s Cove Resort was represented by Ms. Nives Deininger.

The team from 7° South included Mr. Andre Butler Payette and Mrs. Anna Butler Payette, and Mr. Joao Alves represented Eden Bleu Hotel. Luxury Travel had Mr. Chamika Ariyasinghe, and Silhouette Cruises sent Mr. Amitt Wasserberg and Mrs. Nicole Van der Forst to be part of the exciting event.
