Tourism Seychelles, in collaboration with key local stakeholders, launched an impactful two-week billboard campaign across Switzerland. Kicked off in mid-February 2025, this strategic campaign appeared in prominent locations such as train stations in Lausanne, Zurich, and Lugano, as well as Zurich Airport.
The campaign was designed to continuously promote Seychelles as a premier travel destination, captivating potential travellers with its unparalleled beauty. The billboards featured a family strolling along the beach, framed by crystal-clear waters and serene landscapes that define Seychelles. This imagery evokes a sense of warmth, tranquillity, and natural charm, inviting audiences to imagine the unforgettable experiences that await them on the islands.
By strategically placing these visuals in high-traffic areas, Seychelles maintained strong visibility, keeping the destination at the forefront of travellers’ minds. Over the two-week period, the campaign aimed to inspire Swiss travellers to consider Seychelles as their next dream holiday destination, emphasising the islands’ beauty and the idyllic escape it offers.
Speaking about the billboard campaign, Ms. Judeline Edmond, Tourism Seychelles Market Manager for Switzerland & France-Benelux, emphasised the core message of the initiative, stating, “The campaign invites travellers to escape the cold winter in Switzerland and come to Seychelles to enjoy an endless summer. While Europe experiences cold temperatures, on the other side of the world lies a breathtakingly beautiful and warm destination, offering pristine beaches, turquoise waters, and the renowned Seychellois hospitality.”
She further explained that the campaign aims to position Seychelles as the perfect winter getaway, highlighting its year-round tropical climate, unique Creole culture, and diverse range of activities. The billboard placements in key locations across Switzerland are designed to capture the attention of potential travellers, inspiring them to swap heavy coats for swimsuits and indulge in the island nation’s tranquil paradise.
The billboard initiative was part of Tourism Seychelles’ broader marketing strategy to strengthen the destination’s presence in key European markets. Through this dynamic outdoor campaign, Seychelles continued to captivate potential visitors, reinforcing its reputation as a haven for relaxation, adventure, and natural beauty.
