Seychelles Maintains Global Access and Strengthens Air Links

Seychelles to continue welcoming visitors from around the world with newly announced European airlinks from award winning national carrier Air Seychelles.
As part of ongoing efforts to support international travel, Air Seychelles has introduced a series of direct services between Seychelles and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport. Operating three times weekly from 20 March to May 2026, the service is operated using a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner in partnership with Etihad Airways.

In addition, a twice-weekly service to Rome will commence on 28 March, operating on Wednesdays and Saturdays with an Airbus A320neo, including a brief technical stop in Hurghada.

Commenting on these developments, Minister for Tourism and Culture, Mrs. Amanda Bernstein, said:

“Maintaining reliable and consistent connections is essential as travel patterns continue to evolve. We are particularly proud to have our national carrier returning to Europe, and we continue to value the collaboration with all our airline and tourism partners to ensure that Seychelles remains accessible, while upholding the high standards and welcoming spirit that define our destination.”

She added that Seychelles continues to work closely with industry stakeholders to respond thoughtfully to current challenges, with a focus on sustaining connectivity, supporting the tourism sector, and maintaining visitor confidence.

While recent airspace adjustments in parts of the region have affected some international routes, connectivity to Seychelles continues to be maintained through a network of trusted airline partners, ensuring continued access from key global markets.

Further reinforcing international access, Ethiopian Airlines operates daily flights via Addis Ababa, connecting Seychelles to an extensive global network across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and the Americas. Kenya Airways also provides important links via Nairobi, further strengthening connections to Africa and beyond.

Regionally, Air Seychelles ensures regular connectivity within the Indian Ocean, with services linking Seychelles to key destinations including Mauritius and Colombo. Additional regional access is supported through multiple weekly flights from Johannesburg.

Seasonal services further contribute to Seychelles’ global reach, including flights from Moscow (Aeroflot), Frankfurt (Condor and Discover Airlines), Zurich (Edelweiss Air), and Istanbul (Turkish Airlines).

Situated away from areas currently experiencing tensions, Seychelles continues to offer a peaceful and secure environment. Tourism services, accommodations, and attractions across the islands are fully operational, allowing visitors to experience the destination with confidence.

Tourism stakeholders remain committed to ensuring a smooth and enjoyable travel experience. Visitors and travel professionals are encouraged to consult official tourism channels and airline partners for the latest travel information.
