Tourism Seychelles Strengthens Presence in South Korea with Successful Seoul Workshop

As a side event of the 41st Seoul International Travel Fair (SITF), held in Seoul, Tourism Seychelles hosted a luncheon workshop on June 9 at The Plaza Seoul to reinforce its presence in the South Korean market.

The event brought together leading Korean media representatives, travel professionals, influencers, and business leaders to discover Seychelles’ latest tourism developments and diverse visitor experiences.

The workshop was led by Amia Jovanovic-Desir, Manager for Southeast Asia, Australasia, Israel, and Turkey, and Saida Mussard, Marketing Executive, who presented Seychelles’ tourism offerings and growth opportunities within the Korean market.

With demand for premium and long-haul travel continuing to rise, South Korea is emerging as a promising source market for Seychelles.

Speaking at the event, Ms. Jovanovic-Desir highlighted the destination’s wide range of experiences.

“Seychelles is much more than a beach destination. Visitors can enjoy pristine nature, luxury resorts, marine activities, trekking, golf, and sport fishing—all within a single holiday.”

She also emphasised the ease of island hopping, which allows travellers to explore multiple islands during a single stay and enjoy a richer, more diverse experience.

“Seychelles offers the ideal combination of authenticity, luxury, and adventure, and we look forward to welcoming more Korean visitors in the years ahead.”

Tourism Seychelles also showcased the destination’s appeal as a dual-centre holiday option, combining an Indian Ocean island escape with an African safari experience. Attendees were introduced to convenient air connections through Emirates, Qatar Airways, Etihad Airways, Ethiopian Airlines, and SriLankan Airlines, in partnership with Air Seychelles, as well as regional links to South Africa, Tanzania, and Mauritius.

The programme included presentations on Seychelles’ tourism products, cultural and nature-based experiences, and concluded with a tasting of Takamaka Rum, one of the destination’s iconic local brands.

Through initiatives such as this workshop, Tourism Seychelles continues to strengthen partnerships in South Korea and position Seychelles as a premier destination for travellers seeking luxury, nature, and adventure.
